Receive the highest quality 3D printed molds from our global manufacturing network. Be up to 44% faster and 20% cheaper, using advanced AI coupled with industry experts.
3D printing is an emerging technology for cost effective rapid production of low volume tooling and can be an effective way to manufacture composite tooling.
The 3D printing process generally has broader tolerances than the CNC milling process used in tooling board and CFRP mold manufacture. The nature of the process also results in a less glossy surface finish. However for the right job it means less material waste and can be done fast.
Another option is to 3D print the mold and follow up with CNC milling to reach the appropriate tolerance and surface quality.
Type | Tolerance | Datum | Inspection Criteria | |
---|---|---|---|---|

Simply upload a .STEP file on our app and we will give you an instant quote. From here you can customise your quote until you’re happy to order. We then anonymize your CAD before sending it to a supplier to be made.
Generating a quote using our online tool takes less than five minutes.
Over 96% of our online quotes are accurate the first time.
We have a federalised network of trusted suppliers which means we don’t have in house capacity. Your order is never at the back of the queue. You can read more about this on our Verified Supplier Network Page.

Plyable implement best practice security policies which mean your data is more secure with us than in your own network. Security of our customer data is always our first concern.
ISO27K compliant security – Plyable uses state-of-the-art Auth0 security for authentication which is ISO27001 and ISO27018 certified and supports 2 factor authentication. The servers and network where data is stored are isolated by a firewall and only authorised staff have access to it. Data is encrypted at rest, and in transit.
Partner assessment - Each of our Manufacturing Partners goes through an extensive onboarding process before being brought onto the Plyable network ending with them signing a Manufacturing Partner Agreement laying out detailed non-disclosure, confidentiality and general terms for their supply services.
